Whitby Scarborough Heartbeat Country Holiday Attractions

There are many places and attractions worth visiting on the North Yorkshire coast and we are ideally situated to ensure you can pack as much into your holiday as you want to.

We are a 10 minute drive from Whitby, famous for the abbey situated at the top of the 199 steps, picturesque harbour, beaches and cobbled streets in the old part of the town.

Whitby is renowned for its connection with Captain James Cook.  Visit the museums dedicated to Yorkshire's most famous son.

Explore Whitby by taking an open top bus tour around the town.

Scarborough is about 20 miles away from us and has both north and south bay beaches.

Take in the spectacular views along the coast from the ruins of the 12th century castle.  Visit the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to the world famous playwright Alan Ayckbourn.  The many other attractions include the miniature railway, boating lake, art gallery and museums.

The stunning coastal scenery and pretty villages in the area are worth stopping to see as you drive around.  Including the village of Goathland famous as the setting of the television series Heartbeat.

We are also a short drive (or reasonable walk) from Falling Foss.
